The 19th International Conference on the Teaching of Mathematical Modeling and Application (ICTMA19) was successfully conducted during 21 - 26 July 2019 at The University of Hong Kong, jointly organized by IMMC(Zhonghua) and the Faculty of Education of The University of Hong Kong.
The International Community of Teachers of Mathematical Modeling and Applications (ICTMA) is an affiliated study group of the International Commission on Mathematical Instruction (ICMI), a commission of the International Mathematical Union (IMU). Started in 1983 in the UK, ICTMA has been a biennial conference held in different cities all over the world. ICTMA conference series provides a forum for discussing all aspects of teaching applications and modelling in all areas and at all levels of mathematics education - from primary to secondary schools, at colleges and universities.
There were over 200 participants from all over the world joining the 5-day conference. The conference programme covered a wide range of topics in mathematical modeling including Teaching Method, Teaching Cases and Investigation of Students Performance etc. There were Keynote Speech, Plenary Speech, Symposium, Parallel Sessions and Plenary Panel Session in the conference.
